First Working Group Meeting of the National Technical Committee for Electrostatic Standardization

The 1st4th Plenary Session and Workinggroup Meeting of the National Technical Committee for Static Electricity Standardization (SAC/TC297) was successfully convened in Qingdao from January 17 to 18, 2026. As a member of this technical committee, Chen Yong, General Manager of Wuxi Yanping Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., drawing on profound expertise in ionbased staticelectricity technologies, was awarded a nationalstandard drafting certificate. He is one of the drafters for GB/Z 37977.54 Electrostatics — Part 54: ElectrostaticDischarge Protection for Electronic Devices — Conformity Verification, a national standard guiding technical document of the People’s Republic of China.

Charting a New Blueprint for StaticElectricity Standards

The National Technical Committee for Static Electricity Standardization serves as China’s core authority for formulating and promoting staticelectricityrelated standards. This plenary and workinggroup meeting assembled dozens of expert representatives from research institutes, testing laboratories and industrial enterprises in Qingdao. Indepth discussions were held covering the advancement of electrostaticprotection technologies, improvement of the standard system, and realworld industrialapplication practices.

During the meeting, progress on multiple national standards and workinggroup projects in the staticelectricity field was reviewed and advanced, delivering solid standardsystem support for industries including electronics manufacturing, integrated circuits and aerospace.
